Arianna and Greg are just the SWEETEST couple. Both are military band members and seriously were a joy to work with. Their fun engagement session in Old Town Alexandria was a great time. I loved spending the afternoon with them (and their adorable pup!) to celebrate this special time in their lives.
Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session
When we met up for their engagement session along the waterfront in Old Town Alexandria, I heard more of their love story! Adrianna and Greg actually went to the same undergraduate school but because Greg is older, they missed each other. When Adrianna did an internship with Army Band in 2016, Greg was a new member of the band. Everyone kept pestering Greg to meet “the intern” and talk about Eastman – because maybe they had gone there together! Finally, Greg and Adrianna connected! They went on several dates and knew there was something between them… but, she had to go back to Eastman. At the time, her future was pretty unknown. And with a plan to enter a military band, she didn’t know where she wound up.
However, just 5 days after her graduation, she auditioned with the Navy Band and won the spot! She had Greg and kept in touch so once she wound up in D.C. after her bootcamp days were done, they officially started dating. And, then, as they told me – the rest is history! I told you they were sweet!!!
What They Love about Each Other…
Adrianna and Greg enjoy their time together, whether it’s a good night in watching a movie or chasing after their new puppy, Luna, in the park. When I asked Adrianna what she loved about Greg, she told me: “I most love that we align on “the important stuff” like our faith, as well as all the fun stuff like dogs and donuts. I love how Greg can be incredibly selfless, often making sacrifices to take care of me and make my life a little easier as I run from work, to part-time graduate studies, to “Luna care.”… I love that, when I imagine a future with him, I’m completely at peace at the idea of raising a family and growing old together.”
And, if that wasn’t cute enough… read what Greg loves about Adrianna: ” Since we’re both musicians, I love that we’re able to share our love of music with each other. It also helps to be with someone who understands that at least once a day I will go into the other room for an hour or two and make a lot of noise. Arianna is the most patient person I know. She never gets upset with me and always talks through issues with calmness and clarity. I’m so grateful to have her in my life.”
I LOVED working with these two and capturing their Old Town Alexandria engagement session. We had a beautiful day and found the perfect light along the cobblestone roads. And, we even found a little patch of flowers to have them sit in. Their sweet puppy Luna came along and she was a joy, too! It was truly a beautiful afternoon. I’m SO happy for these two!!
