Frances and Michael had the most cozy winter engagement session with me in Bluemont, VA! With gorgeous mountain views and the perfect whiskey to toast their engagement, their winter portraits were so them! I loved every moment of their chilly session. You’d never have known it was cold – Frances and Michael just enjoyed their time together!
Frances and Michael met through mutual friends and built their friendship before they even started dating. After awhile, they realized that their friendship was becoming something more. And now, they enjoy quiet evenings finding a good whiskey to drink and relaxing by cooking together.
A Winter Engagement Session
Frances LOVES Christmas, so when we began to plan their engagement session, we knew that they wanted images that brought feelings of the holiday season – without being over the top. We decided on a cozy winter shoot in Bluemont, VA. To start, we went up and enjoyed the view from the Bear’s Den. It’s such a gorgeous spot to look over the valley! Frances and Michael danced and had lots of laughs together while we were there. Afterwards, they warmed up with some of their favorite whiskey and some cuddling in a gorgeous bright red blanket. It was the perfect way to end their portrait session!
Although COVID-19 ruined their original wedding plans (hello, Italy!), these two have rolled with the punches. They’re now planning a beautiful day at Bluemont Winery in the spring of next year. I know they’re going to have a truly wonderful wedding day! Congratulations again, Frances and Michael!
