Norfolk VA Wedding on Leap Day

I can’t believe I’m finally sharing Pammy and Jared’s Leap Day wedding with you today! Their Norfolk VA wedding day was the last big wedding I had before COVID changed everyone’s lives. Looking back on it, it was full of everything we love about wedding days – love, family, and lots of dancing! Pammy and Jared planned a beautiful day full of lilac and ivory details to celebrate the start of their new life together.

There were so many great moments on Pammy and Jared’s day. They’re definitely people who love to laugh – and it meant my job was seriously a blast the entire time. The first hilarious moment happened when Pammy was supposed to meet Jared for a first look. Instead of seeing Pammy when he turned around, he saw his best man in a wedding dress. The reactions are PRICELESS! I love how much fun everyone had helping the newlyweds have a super memorable day.

The special moments didn’t stop there, though. Unfortunately, Pammy’s father passed away years ago and wasn’t with them to celebrate. Instead, her uncles stepped in to help Pammy on her wedding day. A few of them danced with her during the traditional father daughter dance during the reception. And to top it off, her matron-of-honor surprised them with a slideshow during the dance full of photos of her and her dad. There was seriously not a dry eye in the room! It was beyond special and a beautiful way to honor Pammy’s dad. Later on, the Jared surprised Pammy with a song he sung with his father!

Pammy and Jared, thank you for having such a beautiful day in Norfolk VA. It was a blast to capture and I honestly loved spending time with you and your family.
