When Geraldine hired me for her branding session in Brooklyn, NY, she had NO idea what was coming! I headed up to Brooklyn to capture photos for her new doggy daycare business in the city. When we met up for the first part of her session early in the morning, her long-time boyfriend let me know he had something up his sleeve. This romantic NYC proposal warms my heart so much and I’m thrilled to be sharing it today!

Surprise NYC Proposal

We started off Geraldine’s session at Brooklyn Bridge Park. While we were there, Rich let me know he was planning to propose. I had to keep my cool the entire part of the session leading up to the perfect moment… but it was worth it. Rich got down on one knee and I was able to capture everything! I LOVE when proposals are caught on camera. There’s something really sweet about knowing that your images will be there forever for you both to relive!

Of course, after Geraldine said yes, we captured a few portraits of the two of them to celebrate. And we couldn’t forget their Shiba-inu puppy, Koa! He was definitely excited about his mom and dad making things official. Although Geraldine and Rich have had many adventures together, from California to New York and now their new business, Hi.BK Doggy Daycare… hopefully marriage and their life together will be the most exciting one! Fingers crossed their April 2021 wedding happens this spring! Congratulations again, Geraldine and Rich (and Koa) for including me in this surprise NYC proposal!

Life is simply a series of moments. It’s my honor to pay attention and use film to capture them.
